5/6/2023 – BHCA Spring Parade and Picnic

This annual community event starts at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Braddock Heights (formerly Vindobona Nursing Home) and ends at the BHCA park.

5/6/2023 – BHCA Pool Clean-Up Day (Rain date: 5/20/2023)

Meet at the pool at 9:00 AM. All are welcome to help and can earn 5 free guest passes/participant. 

8/5/2023 – Summer Splash

Saturday, August 5th from 11:00-3:00 PM  Bring a dish to share.  Pool will provide chicken, water, and lemonade.  There will be games for children with prizes!

Summer 2023 Food Trucks at the BHCA Pool

As of 5/17/2023, here are the food truck dates:

• Opening Day: Saturday, May 27th – Mayta’s Peruvian Cuisine, noon-8
• June 3rd Traditional Authentic Mexican, noon-8
• June 10th- Cajun Kitchen, 1-5
• July 4th- Strokers BBQ, 11-until it slows down
• July 9th- Trippy Tacos, noon-until it slows down
• July 15th- Coco’s Grill
• August 20th- Diego’s World

4/8/2023 – BHCA Easter Egg Hunt

Join us at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 for children up to age 11. Bring a basket to collect eggs! Special appearance by the Easter Bunny.

4/1/2023 – BHCA Spring Park Clean-Up

Join us to get our park ready for better weather. We’ll start the clean-up at the BHCA park at 8:00 am.

1/15/2023 – Pool registration opened

11/5 and 11/12 – 2022 Scouting for Food

Braddock Height’s BSA Troop 278 Scouts come to your homes the first two Saturdays in November for the annual Scouting for Food supporting the Middletown Food Bank. The first Saturday they deliver information, the second Saturday of November they will pick up food.

10/8/2022 – BHCA Fall Picnic

Saturday, October 8th, 2022 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (Rain date: Saturday, October 15th)

For the first time, we are conducting the Annual BHCA General Membership meeting during Fall Picnic to vote on Board and Pool Committee members and our 2023 BHCA Budget, so please do be sure to attend. 8/6/2022 – Member Splash

Saturday, August 6th, 2022 – noon – 3:00 pm, all members are invited

We are so thankful and happy to announce that Hilery Leatherman, Realtor Homesbyhil Solutions is sponsoring the Kona truck for us starting at 12:30. Cups are provided but if you happen to have a Kona cup you can bring your own (the plastic cups are larger and you can use your own to get more if that’s your preference). We will have tickets to make sure everyone who wants to enjoy gets to! Kona has another obligation and can’t stay the entire time so come early if you want to enjoy! Many thanks to Hilery and her team for this delicious gift!

5/28/2022 – Swimming Pool Opening Day

Saturday, May 28th, 2022 (Memorial Day Weekend) – pool opens at 10:00 am

5/14/2022 – Spring Parade & Picnic

Saturday May 14, 2022

• The parade will feature Frederick American Little League baseball teams and the Braddock Barracudas swim team.
• The procession will start at Vindabona Nursing Home at 11 am and travel up Jefferson Boulevard to the BHCA Park.
• Starting at Noon, picnic-style food will be available at the park pavilion.
• In addition, there will be live music by local Ragged Company and a clown for the kids.

4/16/2022 – Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 16, 2022
11 am – Noon

• Kids of all ages are welcome
• The eggs will contain all kinds of goodies!
• This will be a rain-or-shine event.

4/2/2022 – BHCA Spring Clean-Up Day

Saturday, April 2, 2022
8 am – Noon

• Rain date: April 9, 2022
• Friends and neighbors meet at the park on Clean-up Day and spend the morning sprucing up the park, playground, and pavilion areas in preparation for the outdoor season.
• Activities will include general pick up, raking, landscaping, and painting.
• Volunteers are asked to bring tools such as wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, and gloves.
• Come down to the park, meet some new people and enjoy the end-product!

1/1/2022 – New Year’s Day Run or Walk

Saturday, January 1, 2022
10:30 am – Noon

• Starts at the Community Center (4834 Schley Ave.)
• Entrance fee is a donation (any amount)
• All proceeds to benefit The Umbrella Project
